Launching the games takes only a few seconds. Performance-wise, the flash card did well too. A lot of homebrew software also works just fine in DLDI mode. This flash card also supports automatic DLDI patching so you don't have to modify or convert anything homebrew before copying them to the card. There are currently no known compatibility issues with it, and as such there is no need for tampering or patching with downloaded homebrew stuff. There was much hype about DSi flash cards, and fortunately, the Acekard 2i did not disappoint. It also supports multimedia formats such as MP3 and some text file formats. Battery life is decent and there is multi-language support (English, Chinese, Japanese and French, to name a few, are the supported languages). The flash card also supports download play, as well as Wi-Fi, which makes it an ideal option not only for the lone gamer but for multiplayer game fans as well. DLDI is auto-patching, so you hardly need to convert when you run homebrew programs. This is because you can write a save file directly to the card in RAW format. The FeaturesĪcekard 2i has perfect compatibility ratings from most users. Just three weeks after the DSi was launched, the Acekard team announced that it is working on a second version that just might be compatible with the DSi and a week after that, Acekard 2i came into being. This incompatibility did not last long, though. Alas, a patch that made all flash cards in the market totally useless with the DSi appeared at the time of its launch. The DSi has basically the same internal hardware, which probably made every Game Boy fan rejoice. The success of the Wii console may have spawned the DSi's complete overhaul and everybody loved its new 'look', as well as its new feel. Acekard 2i is often tagged as the world's first DSi flash card.
